چکیده
Nanomaterial is one of the recent technological advancements that attracts attention many scientists. Many advanced properties could emerge from utilization materials on this scale. Nanocrystalline cellulose (NCC) a cellulose-based nanomaterial currently gaining because its remarkable properties. NCC was prepared by removing amorphous part through acid hydrolysis. Cladophora type algae with fiber-like body, grow rapidly and widely available in Indonesian coastal area, which considered nuisance has no known high economic value. can be used as an alternative source it amount cellulose. Cellulose extracted using 17.5% NaOH at 100°C, 1 M sulfuric hydrolysis bleaching 5% hydrogen peroxide 100°C. concentration 2 M, 3 5 M. The duration process for each concentration, varied 5, 10, 15 hours. X-Ray Diffraction (XRD), Particle Size Analyzer (PSA), Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM), Fourier Transform Infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy were to characterize resulting hydrolyzed product. result showed increase processing increased crystallinity while decreased particle length diameter. highest smallest size 96.36% 189.2 nm, obtained

Preparation and Characterization of Waterborne Polyurethane Modified by Nanocrystalline Cellulose
Nanocrystalline cellulose (NCC) was used as a modifier for waterborne polyurethane (WPU) to investigate the water and ethanol resistance of WPU-NCC composites. The NCC surface was modified with γ-glycidoxypropyltrimethoxysilane (GPTMS) and γammnonimpropylmethyldimethoxysilane (APMDS) to improve its compatibility with waterborne polyurethane (WPU), as indicated by the contact angle (CA). The cha...
متن کاملPreparation and Characterization of Nanocrystalline Cellulose using Ultrasonication Combined with a Microwave-assisted Pretreatment Process
This study focuses on the extraction of nanocrystalline cellulose ( NCC) from the dried stalk of Corchorus olitorius, commonly known as jute, using a combination of a microwave-assisted alkaline peroxide pulping process (AHP) and ultrasonication. Dried jute stalk powder was pretreated using sodium hydroxide under microwave irradiation for the removal of lignin. The partially delignified sample ...
متن کاملPreparation and Characterization of Cellulose Nanocrystals from Bamboo Pulp
Cellulose nanocrystals (CNCs) can be obtained from bamboo pulp by hydrolysis with sulfuric acid. Firstly, the authors conducted a series of experiments under different conditions, and concluded that the optimal parameters were as follows: sulfuric acid concentration 60%, temperature 45 °C, the time is 90 minutes and the solid-liquid ratio is 1:8. Then, transmission electron microscopy (TEM), Fo...
متن کاملPreparation of cellulose nanoparticle from cinnamon
The preparation of cellulose nanostructures is considered in this paper. Cellulose nanoparticles(nano cellulose) were extracted from cinnamon for the first time. The chemically-induceddestruction strategy based on controlled strong acid hydrolysis treatment was used for dissolutionof lignin and fragmentation of cellulose to nano sized structure. The products werecharacterized by scanning electr...
متن کاملPreparation Methods for Nanocrystalline Cellulose - Acid hydrolysis and various cellulose sources
The aim of this project has been to prepare nanocrystalline cellulose (CNC) from hydrochloric acid hydrolysis and optimise the process. CNC was also prepared from sulphuric acid hydrolysis to use as a reference. The starting material in both these processes was microcrystalline cellulose (MCC), therefore another cellulose source was used to try and prepare CNC from. The cellulose was extracted ...
